By CL member request, a review of the 2009 VW Jetta TDI Diesel. http://www.vw.com/jetta/tdi/en/us/ In a Nutshell: Forget the junk VW diesels of 30 years ago....this is a whole new ball game. I've gotten a few CL requests for a review of the new 2009 VW Jetta diesel, so I decided to go formally check ...

Yeah, I checked Aircooled.net and VeeDubs.com... It seems I can only get the flush mount stuff for a Super Beetle. Still not sure how it would work with the big curved windshild. Perhaps I could get the $130 kit that covers the rear three windows and get a couple of sheets of simular material from Home Depot for the door windows and leave the glass windshield. Going back to my original ...

Pic from my '74 super (convertible), but should be the same as the '73. A little blurry, sorry. The arrow points to the cable. The black hose the arrow crosses over is windshield washer hose. _________________ Mike '74 Beetle convertible '74 standard Beetle

Hey all, just signed up. This is my first vw forum I have joined. This is my first vw as well, so please excuse me if something I ask is stupid. It is a 1972 Super Beetle, 1600cc 4spd. I had the engine rebuilt at a local place and just got it back, so working on everything else now. I had some questions about some things I have discovered. I have been trying to fix/replace everything torn ...

Is this a drain for the wiper compartment?(1974 super beetle) I have a leak that seems to run down under the dash board. I have been working on tracking it down so I got into the wiper compartment and found this drain looking thing clogged with crap. The I also don't have an electric fan in there so the hole into the cabin is exposed, but I'm working on fixing that now. I don't think that it is ...

I've always used 15" on the left and 13" on the right. The mistake some make is the arms were't originally positioned to home flat on the bottom of the windshield

Hi, I bought a '71 Super beetle convertible project. I did all of the body work this summer and got it painted. This car was several other people's projects over the course of the past 10 years. The top was removed at some point and left in a pile. The outside vinyl is in pretty good shape... just dirty. It could use new padding and headliner, but quite frankly I am running ...

Question Dear Ron, I am meeting with a man to look at his 1978 Super Beetle convertible that is for sale. It has a little over 8k miles on it and he said the engine was replaced about 4-5 years ago. He stated the car ran great with no problem to his knowledge but I want to make an educated decision. I need a car that is reliable and not one that will constantly need costly ...
