Hi Chris. I use clinique city block 25spf but I think they've also got a 40spf super city block. The advantage of trying clinique is that they will take their products back if you are unsatisfied and they might have samples for you to try. You can also find some ideas from the RSC board in the topical treatments section. http://rosacea-support.org/community/viewforum.php ?f=10&sid=...

I'm dually licensed and I would never use the massage cream I use on the body on someone's face to hydrate, although it could be considered hydrating in a sense. As far as cleansers, I have 5 basic ones I use regularly, depending on skin type and condition. If state law does allow it, are you able to determine what cleanser and moisturizer should be used on every client? If you're ...

Cattail, that jibes with the online research I did last night. Finacea is azelaic acid, at 15% strength, and some rosacea sufferers have really good results with it. Ditto Metrogel and Metrolotion. I'll ask my derm about them. In the meantime, just two days of using the Clevia are helping a bit -- my skin is softer and not as red or bumpy. Evidently both Eucerin and Aveeno have rosacea-...

I feel your pain! I've had Rosacea since my early teens and started having the red hot painful face in my late 20s. I went undiagnosed for years up until 2 months ago, despite going to numerous dermotologists for 30s years. Fortunately the metrogel I use has helped some in that I don't keep the hot red face 24/7 like I used to, but I'd LOVE to know how to calm it down when I do have it. ...

Laure: What a bummer!! There are endless options, so maybe you will be able to find something you like just as much or even more :) I have tried many moisturizers and the most gentle one I've found is Vanicream Lite Lotion. It's sold at Walgreens and is pretty affordable. It's a very simple formulation for ultra delicate skin and has never irritated mine. It is very moisturizing, so you ...

I have mild to moderate acne which has gotten worse since I've entered my 20s. My acne changes a lot, but I'm not sure why. Sometimes I'll have terrible forehead breakouts, other times I get cysts and clogged pores on my cheeks that hang around for months. Lately, my main problem has been my chin and the area around my mouth, where I get rosacea-like papules and pustules which are worsened ...

Hi all, Wanted to ask the advice of the list. Like many of you, my skin is very sensitive to the sun. This seems to be getting worse in my case. It's amazing -- a couple of years ago, I would sit outside in the scorching Miami sun during my lunch break. I know, not a good idea for lots of reasons, but at that time I could tolerate it fine. Anyway, now things are such that I feel ...
