Garden Crops to Dig It’s what’s going on underground that counts. September/October 2008 Margaret A. Haapoja http://www.grit.com/Garden/Garden-Crops-to-Dig.asp x 'Purple Haze' Carrots David Cavagnaro Harvesting root crops is like digging for buried treasure, and banking them in the root cellar is akin to saving money for a rainy day. Maybe they aren’t as glamorous as artichokes and radicchio, but ...

It varies. I have at least one (BIG) green smoothie every day, usually with bananas, spinach or chard or sorrel, and add some other piece of fruit sometimes like apple or mango. I have fresh, whole fruit as I crave it. I usually have a salad or two a day, with or sometimes without leaves, like a cucumber or tomato salad or something else. I usually crave an avocado every few days and ...

Hiya Debbie OK, about the Aerogardens; they are hydroponic fully functioning units that tell you when to add water or nutrients and you grow from seed to harvest, herbs or tomatoes, peppers, flowers, snap peas bush beans, cukes and a host of other possibilities. My tomatoes were very tasty, and they chose a red, and a golden tomato selection and they both produced but the reds were more ...

It would take a good developer 10 minutes or less to output the custom items in alphabetical order or to enable a mass delete of custom items. The only way to easily find something for adding to my list right now is CTRL F. Therefore, it's easier just to keep writing things in. Do you know how much redundancy fills your database because people like me (paying customer, by the way) ...

Last week in October - Cheese of the Week: Brie de Meaux AOC Brie is a soft, bloomy-rind cheese from Ile-de-France. Made since the Middle Ages, this mild, creamy cows milk variety has been adored by many cheese lovers, including Charlemagne and Henry VI. Appetizer So, what exciting things have happened to you in the last 16 months? Almost everything major that has happened to me has been related to my house. My solar hot water service froze for the final time and had to be converted to electricity only. Now I only have hot water between the hours of 1am to 9.30am. My oven/cooktop systematically died and I went 6 months with only ...

It's a basic Henley style, so casual for jeans every day. Since I am in a tight 18 it's a long time til the size large will fit. Mainly got it as it's hard to find the shade of blue that looks good on me. The deep forest/hunter green that looks so good on me is also very hard to find. You see it at Christmas time in holiday sweaters & that's pretty much it. Just made 8 mini loaves of ...

Hi All, I love eating chicken pot pie but hate preparing the crust for it. I saw a recipe for chicken pot pie with corn bread topping and loved it. So easy and you can use up thing in your fridge. Here is the idea with many ways you can make it simpler if you would like. I always adjust recipes as I thought the filling of the recipe I had did not call for enough ingredients....
