Dear Doctor and others, I just bought a used Sony CDP-C505 and it had the same problem as described by others. Besides the "chucking arm" thing though, I found a broken spring mount which is located by removing the bottom panel. The spring gives extra force upward to the laser/disk motor assembly. The spring attaches to plastic at both ends and the plastic had failed. I repaired it with a small...

Has anyone used a non OEM gasket and had success? I spent a few frustrating hours over the weekend trying to put a new WS in. The gasket was a cut to fit type with the center locking locking strip. We got the gasket from the glass shop when we got new glass. We tried getting the gasket to fit on the glass and had problems with the corners rolling off. We also tried putting the gasket in ...

I'm going on my 3rd season with a dozen of them. I REALLY like the drakes, but the hens look like cartoons. Motion is good. My keels do not stay in place well at all - they were all slipping out constantly until I put some screws and adhesive in the slots behind the keels to hold them in. Paint/flocking has not held up nearly as well as I would have liked. Not even as well ...

I think the adhesive I used says 24 hrs. before applying polish. Not sure about parking on it. One note: Before you start putting down polish, make sure it's absolutely perfectly clean. I wet mopped it real good about 3 times and still didn't get it clean (should have hit it with a microfiber mop too). Anything on there will seal down to the tile in your first application - dust, dirt, etc. I ...

I tried to fit one of those once & found that I just couldn't make it stay stuck down. In the end I did away with the little plastic things & put a few blobs of 'No Nails' or whatever 'Sticks Like Sh*t' type adhesive I had to hand in the groove & the problem was solved. Cheers, Chrisall.

I just got my first lipo battery. I have a slotted chassis touring car and after a lot of filing and dremeling the battery fits. Now I'm trying to balance the chassis. My idea is to stick lead weights on the bottom of the battery so they fit in the slots of the chassis and keep the CG as low as possible. The only problem is with the self-adhesive tape on them they are thicker than the chassis...
