http://www.cyc-net.org/cy....toni2.html Many professionals involved with the care and protection of children find it difficult to believe that children 12 years and younger can molest other children. Evidence that they can, and do, is found not only in a growing group of studies and journal articles, but in FBI reports and newspaper clippings. In one recent case, a ...

About my ds Jordan.  He is in the first grade and is struggling so bad with reading/writing/language skills. He had special services as a toddler/preschooler, but them seemed to start doing really well and they declassified him right before kindergarten.  Well now he is having a hard time and is now also having frustration/anxiety over school.  He has his first spelling test tomorrow and is so ...

Ok, my anxiety level is skyhigh right now. Tonight at 6:40pm we have conferences for Allisons kindergarten class. I am so nervous as to what the teacher is going to say about her. You see when Allison was 18 months old she got kicked out of daycare for biting. You read that right, got kicked out of daycare. I am thinking that the teacher is going to say she doesnt listen, is disruptive to the ...

My daughter is 4 years old, and recently began suffering severe anxiety when she is leaving me. She has always been clingy, but started junior kindergarten in September, and cries and carries on whenever it is a "big school day". The teacher has to peel her away from me. It got better for a little while, after about a month, but lately it is much worse. She kicks and screams and hurts the ...

I was approached again about having my son tested for the TAG program. He is 5 and in Kindergarten with subject acceleration in Math and reading. I don't know a lot about how the TAG program works at the school except that it is only 1 day a week and they are bused to another school. He has some anxiety issues but thrives on structure, routine and being challenged. I don't want him swamped ...

I work in the school setting and can't stand going into the cafeteria when the kids are in there. It is just too noise and so much stimulus. I try to avoid when the kids are going from one class to another. I have to observe kids in the classroom setting (school psych here) and if there is too much stimulus in the classroom or too noisy, I find it difficult to observe because I am o ...

Well, Jacob's speech delay was the reason we started the whole evaluation process in the first place. I was suffering from major denial back then, so I overlooked some of the red flags. I assumed his little quirks were either normal, or just part of his personality. For his first evaluation with a developmental pediatrician we were told it was NOT Autism. He was a little over age 2.5 at that ...
