I just put a Stag Arms complete rifle (NIB) on layaway-- its an M4gery flatop with a flip up rear sight. Seemed reasonable at about $800 with generous terms on the layaway-- basically I have a year to finish paying for it. That being said, how does Stag compare with other "value tier" ARs-- ie Bushmaster, Oly, DMPS, etc... Any help, opinions, slams, or whatever are greatly appreciated--...

I'm thinking about replacing my since sold AR's with a new one. Right now I'm thinking over either the Stag M3, or a M&P15 MOE or optics ready version. The Stag is cheaper, as I can get a new one thru a dealer for $700. Any ideas on this? Is the M&P that much better that I need to spend the extra cash? The intended purpose is basically a range gun. It won't be a patrol rifle, as we can't ...

I'm currently on the market for my first AR 15 I was considering Stag arms. I was looking at the model 1 since I currently have enough funds for the purchase, then I noticed the model 2t with the quad rail. My Question is can I convert the model 1 into a model 2t by just changing the hand guards to a quad rail and removing the carry handle and adding a rear flip site? Would the two ...

It comes with three 30 round mags, a bsa red dot scope , hard and soft case, manual and about 100 rounds of .223 ammo. Stag is a subsidiary of Continental machine and tool who have been making parts for AR's since the Vietnam war. They have more experience at it than anyone else. I have the model 6 Varminter, great shoooting rifle that will shoot 1/2" or less at 100 yards depending on the loose nut behind the trigger.
