Springfield Armory EMP,,, anyone have insight?

I recently saw a 9mm Springfield Armory EMP,,, Unfortunately when I saw it the owner was just emptying his last mag,,, I didn't have any 9mm ammo so I didn't get a chance to shoot the little pistol. Has anyone out there shot one? I loved the look and feel of the thing,,, The price is scary but I can always sell my chil,,, eerrr,,, motorcycle. Aarond

Great gun, extremely accurate with it, good quality, good support from Springfield service if you should need it. They are fun to shoot and I like the size, and recoil seems 'less' than my other guns. I definitely like the night sights on it. A Beretta steel-framed single-stack compact 9mm, designed to fit, look, feel, and function like the 85FS Cheetah. A reliable .22LR auto-loader with a magazine capacity over 10. A Springfield Armory EMP in 9mm without the ambi safety, with flush-fitting mags, and a rounded off mainspring housing. I suppose a good gunsmith could actually make this gun pretty easily.

I have the EMP 9 and a LW Champion Operator. They weigh very nearly the same and carry that way too. I like shooting them both. Both weigh a titch less that my XDM9 empty. The slide on the Operator is stout. I hadn't noticed the EMP being any different from the XDM. With a supertuck you can forget you're carrying either 1911.

Sorry to hear about your issues..But you brought up a great point.. THE SPRINGFIELD ARMORY WARRANTY...It's as good as it can get! I have purchased 4 springers this year alone because of that! I had issues with EMP 9mm, sent it back with no questions asked! I had it back in my hands in 9 days..I was so impressed i went out and bought the EMP in .40 two days later.
