Well, I have to break down and ask for help. I picked up a CNC machine today and the problem is, the spindle is motor and belt driven. The motor that drives the spindle is 100 VDC 10 Amp. Finding a power supply is next to impossible, unless I want to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house. So I want to replace the motor with something in the 24 vdc range, 3000 rpm and the power supply to run it...

Hi, I see that there are 3 capacitors connect to Magnetic Relay in parallel with R-S, S-T, T-R terminals. The unit is for turning spindle motor clockwise or counter clockwise thru the hand switch. My question is WHY would you need these capacitor connect in parallel for? Back Voltage when suddenly switch Clockwise to Counterclockwise? Thank you Jeff C.

I am trying to replace the broken spindle motor in a DVD player. Thsi is a Sony mech and the original part is RF300F, D/V 13. I have a scrap mech with a similar motor but with label D/V 5.9 ...Is this something to do with spindle shaft size or voltage? I'd like to avoid going to the trouble of fitting it and learning the hard way! TIA -B

I am having a problem with the spindle motor or drive. It typically starts forward really slow but will start in reverse most of the time normal. In forward rotation it seems to be under powered, like maybe one of the 3 phases is not getting all the power required. I have an extra drive and spindle motor but don't want to replace both if I don't need to. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ...

Does anyone now of a different spindle motor and spindle control i could update my partner 1 it has the 15hp csm motor and spindle control and has the centurion 5 and now i no longer have any spindle control for RPM when i start spindle cw at any rpm it just goes to the max rpm ccw and i cant tool change. Im thinking the motor or spindle control took a crap on me so i thinking of just updating it...

I have a Matsuura CNC mill MC-1000VS which is having a problem with the contactor for the spindle motor. It cycles on and off even when the computer section is off. I am wondering if the contactor switch itself could be worn out. If I leave is for a long time, after switching on and off it finally calms down and only does it occasionally.
