As you have mentioned, fat and protein then become the biggest issue for him. He needs about 13 grams of protein per ...

Since you asked for opinions, I'll give you mine : ) You're not lifting weights...which means when your body sheds weight, you are losing muscle mass as well as fat...if you ever gain weight back, you will have replaced muscle mass with fat. Lifting weights programs your body to keep muscle mass...since those cells are being used For protein bars...get something that has at least ...

I agree with caring about the value of calories. I hate to 'waste' calories. I love peanut butter because it is filling and high in protein. I always struggle with getting enough protein in my diet. It is also a great portable lunch for me. (One of the few). If I am working out or just had a low calories day, I have for whatever reason, I have a few favorite foods that are healthy and ...

Does she have a true allergy/strong sensitivity, or just a mild-moderate sensitivity? If it is a true allergy or strong sensitivity, then you'll have cut any type of milk protein product (look for things like whey and casein on food labels.) If it's just a mild to moderate sensitivity, you might be able to get away with just cutting obvious dairy - milk, cheese, etc. If you don't yet know ...

You are correct in not allowing her to get dehydrated for the sake of getting her to drink milk. Never refuse water to your child. It is such a basic and important need. Plus, something that important shouldn't be used as reward or punishment, because it trains your child to override internal thirst cues which could ultimately do harm. Limit her juice intake to 4 ounces as day (can be diluted ...

I am a Coke-aholic and unfortunately, NOTHING tastes like the real thing to me except the real thing! In any blind taste test, I could tell you if something is sugar-free...it just has a weird taste to me. But I've found a carbonated green tea drink by Coca-Cola (which has been out awhile) called Enviga that really tastes great to me, so I'm able to sub it in instances where only a Coke would do...
