Hey guys, I'm looking for a monitor to use when I'm home. I have the z590 and I would love a sony to keep everything the same brand, but the most important thing I'm looking for is the aspect ratio. I want a monitor with the same ratio as the z's 1.78 aspect ratio (1600x900 resolution). I don't want all of my stuff to shift around whenever I put the laptop on the dock. I've ...

A 1080p (max res) HDTV is 1920x1080. Its closest to a native 20" LCD resolution, which is 1680x1050. For comparison a 24" is 1920x1200 and a 30" is 2560x1600. You really dont need any hardcore graphics (SLI) to run an HDTV. The resolution in relation to LCD monitors is pretty low and doesnt strain a video card much at all. As far as adapters, I have an older Sony Bravia that I ...

It's hard for me to say ... I don't get eyestrain from lcd ...

will my 8800GT overclocked be able to handle a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 (21' LCD) with most settings maxed out and AA enabled?...I'm assuming 1920 x 1200 (24' LCD) is out of the question?...how about with a GTX 260 card? I'd rather invest in a 24' LCD as I don't want to have to upgrade my monitor for a long time and if I get a monitor that 'only' has a native res. of 1680 x 1050 then ...

I'm thinking about replacing my 10 year old Sony CRT monitor with the BenQ G2400WD LCD...my worry is that I'm a big time gamer and the native resolution of the BenQ LCD is 1920 x 1200...a lot of the latest PC games won't allow you to play at that high of a resolution (Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky)...would lowering the resolution to a non-native one severely impact image quality? or ...

I have a G4 450 AGP in which I am putting in 4- 256 mbs ram chips and looking at possibly more upgrades. My question is this. Can I put in a dual 500 cpu to replace the 450 that is in there and would it be a good upgrade? Also what would be a good video upgrade from the factory ATI Rage Pro. Am running a CRT monitor -Sony Trinitron Multiscan 20 seII Monitors is one thing that I can't keep ...
