[Posts vary in length. My starters normally suck so bare with me. ] The snow fell on her hair dampening each spot it fell. She was looking for danger on the cold winter night. The snow was inches deep and her feet would be toasty warm. The moon was full and very bright for the early December night. The light bounced off the snow and reflected her pale skin, and shone ...

Finally got a chance to return to this thread, having weathered an apocalyptic onslaught of Discrete Mathematics... post Euclid's method, and I might go into shellshock. @Kol.7: Thread subscribed. Anyways, where was I before reality's rude interruption? Spoiler : Ozziel looked at the remains of the Profane, contemplating what punishment awaited those found guilty of ...

"Oyra no!" Violet immediantly cried, jumping up. To late. Oyra tackled Pilot the girls teeth bared. Violet hurried over and grabbed Oyra's neck pulling her up. SHe slapped Oyra, not hard, but you had to hit her to get her out of anger burst. Oyra blinked confused a little and shook her head. Violet sighed, she was happy that wasn't Uyana. "Sorry, Sir. I beat you all. I had a 1960 VW and I ran it 13 years with the same tires. When I took it skiing and it got stuck in a snow bank a group of young people lifted it and put it back on the road. I took it to the V.I after 13 years of state side driving and had learned to tune it up myself from the kids in SHOP at the high school. Only thing when I reconnected the distributor I didn't have ...

For the love of all gods, what were you thinking ?! Azvida demanded. It wasnt my idea! Solonn thought but didnt dare say, feeling as though doing such amounted to betraying Zilag, which he most certainly did not want to do.
I dont know! he blurted finally. Well, youre not going up there again, thats for sure, Azvida said, her tone one of strong displeasure. In fact...

I am a man without purpose. But I would be lying if I told you that I did not, at times, feel a faint stirring in the invisible depths of my own mind. I feel it- that faint scent of meaning- as remote and as subtle as a dream within a dream, or perhaps, the change in the air's weight before a storm. But I did not feel that way now. Now I was in the back right seat of my friend Marcos dented ...

The grey clouds hung in the sky, denying the sun a look at the land, and threatening to rain. The wind howled across the mountains and nerves were high among Apocalypse Squadron. The jets screamed just above the top of the mountains, barely missing radar coverage. Had the four jets been above the ocean, they may have seemed to be not moving at all. But with the monstrosities they were weaving ...

The method of madness. Woah..I haven't been here in a while.. but then again, I haven't wrote anything worth reading in a while. I'll let this writing speak for itself, won't you tell me what it says? The streets were ghostly quiet, surprisingly lonely, and disturbingly distraught. Only litter stirred there, shifting uneasily in the wind, while the sky was as pale and mild ...

Written by Becky Akers Wednesday, 03 September 2008 21:11 Nathan HaleNathan Hale was full of fun and life, but he is remembered for his death. He was a man of honor who died in rank dishonor. His last words, which should have perished with him, have instead immortalized him. He was hanged for espionage 232 years ago this September 22. He was one of those gifted-all-around ...

Our 34th of the 35 started with a healthy dose of trepidation. Driving out to the trailhead, it seemed that closer we got, the nastier the weather looked. Elsewhere in the Catskills, the sun shone, but out west the mountains looked snow-covered, and clouds sat atop summits threatening viewless cold and damp peak bagging. At the trailhead, two older (than us) gentlemen readied themselves ...

John Steinbeck - The Grapes Of Wrath For a minute Rose of Sharon sat still in the whispering barn. Then she hoisted her tired body up and drew the comfort about her. She moved slowly to the corner and stood looking down at the wasted face, into the wide, frightened eyes. Then slowly she lay down beside him. He shook his head slowly from side to side. Rose of Sharon loosened one side of the ...

Following up on my last post, One of the most memorable and magical moments of my later life was waking up from a flight from a less than memorable metropolis of this country, I do not remember which one, but it doesn't matter for they are all the same... For I woke up about midnight, and looked out the window and saw the MAGICAL snow-topped HIGH Andes under a full or almost full ...
