Yep to the bed and yep to the couch. However, our dogs are small and non-shedding. We might have had different rules if they were large or shed a lot. -------------------- Married September 3, 2006

All fellow Rambling Musers, Margi, I don't know what it is like to feel such impetus to get things done with a very real deadline ever slowly encroaching... as you do. I am trying to both to live with the knowledge that we all have a "dead" line while I know in my soul that real life is eternal. My body is just one kind of limitation and only for a while. I have started to look at the things in ...

Good morning! It's supposed to be really cruddy weather today but, until it gets light out there, I am in denial. The house is cozy and Disney is cuddly. I threw a mess of stuff into the crockpot last night and the glorious smell of pea soup woke me. I just may have a bowl for breakfast - after coffee, of course! Lori, I may be joining you as a two dog household. My friend Holly ...

As everyone said, all non-shedding dogs require some grooming. It depends a lot how you want them to look, how much is involved. My parents and sister have shi tzu's, which are very similiar to lasa apso's. They are great dogs, and don't require a ton of grooming. They can be cut very short and last several months between groomings. You don't have to brush them often, every week or two ...

Question Hey labman, I have a 7 week male Labrador, he is active and very smart but he is kind of small i have seen his brothers and he is not the smallest but the second smallest puppy in the liter, could you give me some advice to make him grow? Answer We are all anxious to see our puppy grow into a large dog. However it is best to allow slow growth giving the joints more time to ...

>> cole: Yes they are high maintenance, but have wonderful personalities. My old vet said that he always recommended Bichons to families with children because of their good natures. My dog is a wonderful companion dog. ColeEmmett Sister Peaceful Guillotine of Serene Debate

If I get into PA school, I will have a dog and 3 ferrets during school :-) If you're going to adopt a dog, you might want to cut down the work like I did - I adopted an already potty-trained, adult (but not senior), small (less food and mess to clean), non-shedding (less mess), hypoallergenic dog. She is much less work than most other dogs, I would think - and with the smaller breeds, they tend...

West Highland White Terrier Westie Terriers have bright, deep-set eyes; these tend to be dark, with a "piercing" look. Their ears are generally small, pointed, and erect.[3] They typically weigh from 15 to 20 lbs for male dogs and 13 to 16 lbs for female dogs and their average height is 9 to 11 inches (28 cm) at the withers.[3] The Kennel Club has recommended that their tails, typically...

Ok so I just got a male chin from a teenage girl, very nice sweet teenage girl. THey had a lot of dogs and one of them even bit part of poor Chico's tail off a year ago. Well despite all of this, CHico is the friendliest chin I have ever seen. He runs to the top of his cage whenever we walk by him. He never hides and doesn't seem to be stressed out about the move at all. He has never bit ...

Hi, I'm looking to get a dog! I've spent a lot of time reading this forum as well as Upland Journal and can't quite make up my mind. It seems like the type of hunting that I do will help so here are my qualifiers: 1. Good with toddlers & small children 2. Overnight in house and kennel during the day 3. We can provide a dog with plenty of exercise 4. Massachusetts hunting ...

I finally convince (didnt take much as she has had dogs before just little ones) my wife to get a dog and now I cannot decide on which breed to get. Or to get a shelter dog. So frustrating. Here is the deal. I have 3 kids. 4,4,6 years old. Normal playfull kids. We do not want a large dog like a lab. We are afraid of small/toy dogs because of kids possible hurting it. My wife would like ... | |
