My husband was diagnosed 8 weeks ago with esphageal cancer. The tumor is 3 cm in the esp. and 2 cm in the stomach (total of 5 cm) with all of the local lymph nodes impacted. Take a look at: ***LINK REMOVED - PLEASE SEE SITE POLICY ON POSTING LINKS*** I'm happily one of the long-term survivor data-points in these studies. Small-cell carcinoma of the esophagus is an aggressive cancer, but Memorial Sloan-Kettering, at least, is getting pretty good at treating it.

Hello All, If anyone has any experience with this particular type of cancer, please share. I have just been diagnosed with this and according to the GYN-Oncoloigist, there are only 1 to 2 new cases of this cancer every year. So even if you are or know that other person, please get a hold of me. In not so many words the Dr. told me "oh well, good luck, you're a goner". I am 31 ...
