Hi Anand, that's what I was afraid of, that SAP is not...Hi Anand, that's what I was afraid of, that SAP is not able to calculate correlation, slope and intercept. B4:B12 and C4:C12 are not single results, but constant data, which could be set in the formula as fixed number. May be, that makes building of a fun

hi, That is the formula, usually Y = ax +b where a is the slope and b is the y intercept. In Excel you can use the =LINEST function to calculate various regression parameters, you can use the TREND function to esimate a new y value based on a given X. You can use the SLOPE function to find the slope of the linear ...

The standard form is y=mx+b, with m representing the slope, and b representing the y-intercept Formulas to use: The Slope Formula: m= y1-y2/x1-x2 The Point-Slope Formula = y-y1 = m(x-x1) For #1, use the point slope formula. Set it up as this: y-3 = 2(x-(-6)) Because 3 is the y coordinate of the point, and -6 is the x coordinate of the point. Continue the problem, simplifying it ...

(x^2)/2 + (y^2)/8 = 1 ...eq. [1] First, we'll need to determine the first derivative (dy/dx) of eq. [1] by the use of Implicit Differentiation. Do this by taking the derivative of eq. [1] with respect to 'x' while assuming y = f(x) (i.e., 'y' i sa function of 'x'.) 2x/2 + (2y/8)(dy/dx) = 0 ...eq. [2] Simplify eq. [2]: x + (y/4)(dy/dx) = 0 ...eq. [3] Solve eq. [3] for 'dy/...

It's just a formula and the way it works. That is in y=mx+b form with m being the slope, and b is the y-intercept. So the slope would be 2 and the y-intercept is -3. I can't explain to you exactly why this is, but I am currently in grade 11, and I do quite well in math, so trust me when I say that you don't need to know exactly why it works, you just need to understand that it does in fact ...

1. find the equation of the line perpendicular to x=1 and passing through (-4, -5) so the two points are (-4, -5) and (1,0) using this formula to get the slope m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) then substitute the value m = [0-(-5)]/[1-(-4)] Remember that when you multiply similar signs you would get a positive but if you multiply dislike signs it would result to negative m = [0+5]/[1+4]...

You have everything you need, you have your slope and your y- intercept. the formula for a line is y=mx+b, y is the y coordinate, m is the slope, x is the x coordinate, and b is the y intercept. You can graph this one of two ways. You can pick any number for x or y and solve, that's the hard way. Or you can take your y intercept, the last number of the equation, for example for y= 4/3x + 3, 3...

you did almost everything correct, and the derivative is correct. but when you plugged into the point slope formula you just made one mistake. (y-3) = (-1)(x-12) y-3 = -x+12 now you need to add three to both sides to get y = -x + 15 so this is one of the two tangent lines. remember, the derivative is used for FUNCTIONS, and an ellispse is not a function, since ...

Ugh. I've answered so many of these I'll be doing them in my dreams tonight. First thing you have to know. When you have two lines that are perpendicular, the slopes will be inverse and opposite in value. What that means is if the slope of one line is 4, then the slope of the other line is -1/4. The other thing you need to know is the standard form for an equation is y=mx+b. Y is a coordinate...

Because the constant and the x value are already on the right side of the = sign, all you have to do is isolate the y value 2y = 8x - 3 Divide both sides by 2 y = 4x - 3/2 Following the formula: y = mx + b, you know that your slope is 4 and your y-intercept is 3/2 I hope this helps

Circle C and line K lie in the xy plane. If circle C is centered at the origin and has radius 1 , does line K intersect circle C?? (1) The x intercept of line k is greater than 1 (2) The slope of line K is -1/10 CAn someone plz. explain what information do we need to check if a line intersect a circle or not.
