Get your facts straight. KOS has not been around for over 2 years. Abbott now owns and promotes niaspan. Slo-niasin is just one more example of USL's inability to make anything out of this poor excuse of a pharma company. KOS and their dum ass rep's laughed all the way to the bank when Abbott bought them out. You have no clue do you.

Yep, using Upsher Smith Slo-Niacin. I may just have an allergy to it. I'm going to get a heart scan and another lipid panel next June after losing some weight and (trying) Niacin for a year. When I know my calcium score and cholesterol next year I'll decide what long-term efforts I have to make with supplements.

The famous HATS trial from 2001. They used Slo-Niacin. Shows what Slo-niacin can do. Simvastatin and Niacin, Antioxidant Vitamins, or the Combination for the Prevention of Coronary Disease Background Both lipid-modifying therapy and antioxidant vitamins are thought to have benefit in patients with coronary disease. We studied simvastatin–niacin and antioxidant-vitamin therapy, alone ...

IH is Inositol Hexanicotinate. Flush free niacin. In spite of reading some negatives about it here, it works for me, where the recommended Slo-Niacin just let my numbers soar. I'm giving it another couple months before getting a lipid workup, then I'll get confirmation... or not.

i was taking the IH Niacin EC was recommending. Did it for a long time and my blood work was in an acceptable range. Believing some stuff I read here about IH being worthless, I switched to Slo-Niacin and took it for a few months before getting a lipid workup. Numbers soared. I'm now back to the IH niacin and have worked up to 3 doses of 1000 mg per day and will get a new lipid workup ...

hi Suma, i'm taking one gram (1,000mg) of niacin right now. later i plan to increase it to 1,500mg. i don't think there is a consensus yet on which form of niacin to take. i was taking the no-flush but switched to the straight niacin again. i considered slo-niacin, but decided i didn't want to chance any time release form. time released form gives your liver less time to recover. i don...

Vitamin B3 Reduces Alzheimer's Symptoms If you are going for the Supplement form Vitamin B3 Niacin is best absorbed from the Niacinamide. If you are looking to improve food sources then then fish, liver and chicken look fairly good sources Do also consider what Dr Davis has to say about Vitamin B3 to be sure you don't waste your money on ineffective forms. If you haven...
