OK, I need some help. For the second time in six months, a Sirius micro-dot antenna has crapped out on me. I need a new antenna, but am reluctant to buy another micro-dot. Anybody have any luck with another antenna that I should consider? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wondering if anybody has ever installed one. I'm contemplating getting an in dash dvd/cd/satellite tuner and the only thing holding me back is the antenna install. I could save a lot of money if I could do this. I do not want any wires showing on the exterior of the vehicle, other than small amount showing where the antena attaches. So I'm looking at the vehicle. It does not look like there ...

I have a Kenwood Sirius ready radio in my car and can't decide where to put the magnetic antenna for best reception and a spot where it is the least noticeable. Has anyone here installed it in/on there car? Pics?

Hey guys, I just bought myself a 2006 Charger R/T. It has the nav system, but the nav joystick doesnt work, rendering the navigation system and some of the menu functions unusable. I have decided to scrap the stock unit altogether, and go with a DoubleDin Pioneer unit. I would like to continue using the factory Sirius antenna with the Pioneer, since its already sitting there, pretty and clean....

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you a great idea for a VERY elegant and functional idea for anyone who is putting in the Sirius retro fit for where to pu the antenna. I originally had my antenna installed underneath my C-Fiber roof spoiler. I didnt receive a signal AT ALL. (There was $30 down the drain). I wouldve had to take off that spoiler to get to the antenna and ...

I am going to be putting my Sirius into my new-to-me 2003 Explorer. I am considering drilling and installing an OEM Ford Sirius antenna into the roof for the radio. Has anyone done this? Drilling a hole in the roof is kind of scary but it will look A LOT cleaner than the magnetic antenna options. And, as I understand it, the new Ex's roof antennas are for both Sat Radio and Navigation...

Hello, My car is prewired for Sirius but I am currently using a P&P player (Sportster 5) which is a carryover from my old car. I have 8 months left on that subscription and would like to use it with the OEM antenna. When my subscription is up I will probably get an OEM sat tuner so I think I need to retain the pink connector on the antenna wire. Is there an easy way to extend the OEM cable ...

Hello, As part of the installation of my new navigation unit, I'm planning on ordering 3 custom made adapter cables that will allow an aftermarket Sirius/XM receiver utilize the OEM sharkfin antenna. My GLI has the OEM Sirius/XM receiver in the trunk, so these cables will be 5 meters in length to allow the aftermarket equipment to be installed in the dash area of the vehicle. The antenna end is ...

I agree with you. Dot micros can be a bit fragile and brittle over time. We have had some really good luck with the Tram square car antenna. It is a high gain antenna, much like the dot micro, but it also has a much thicker cable on it and will help protect it from the elements. Here is a link to the product: Tram Square Car Antenna for Sirius

Hi Ekoffman, I am Khalid from Malaysia and very new in Treg. I just got my 2009 V6 TDI Treg few days ago. I found this car is really fantastic, however, my Treg does not come with RNS 510 and it is equipped with a very basic audio system, Radio Delta. I am thinking of upgrading it to the one just like yours, Kenwood 9140. Really appreciate if you could share some of your experiences and might be ...
