If you are certain that you are the only one using the wireless, then likely you forget to secure the wireless AP and someone is free riding on the wireless, check the status whether any other MAC login to the wireless netowrk, change it to 802.11g only and not 802.11b/g if you are not using any 11b client. Try using other non-overlapping channel like 1 or 11 if you faced problem in chn 6...
