There is a possibility that the phone could be sim locked to a network. The only other possibility is a problem with the phone, probably with the card reader. Either way, if the phone is brand new, I'd get it replaced with another that works with your sim straight away.

Either the phone or the sim card is "goosed". Try the sim in another phone if you can to rule it out. You could also try another networks sim in your phone to rule out your sim and prove it's the phone. If it's the sim contact the network for a new one. If the sim is ok then it's most likely the sim reader or the antenna that has failed. The 6230i is obsolete now so it's probably ...

its not too bad for reading and once you enable true type for the screen its a lot better... navigating can be a pain on certain more busy websites so can file management, but in general if you keep your number of windows open to minimum its very usable. Most website will scale down to the screen unless put together badly, there are users out there that still use 800x600 as thats all their ...

I have multiple SIM cards (my wife's and mine; two Italy accounts, two U.S. accounts) with different phone books on them. Any suggestions for how to back up all my sim cards, share phone books between them, etc.; should I get a new ...
