Short term update. Swelling with solvents worked great. After a shot of Gun Scrubber, and letting it sit for about 15-30 seconds, it fit the grove perfectly just falling into place and staying there with no effort. I kept trial fitting it during that time frame until it fit and then dried it off with a paper towel. It stayed expanded for a half hour or so, while I was messing with other ...

HELP!

I see that you tried to push the draincock inward, then turn it a I mentioned in the other thread. It may be necessary to check the o-ring and make sure that it is properly seated. If so, put some waterproof /silicone grease; ie plumbers grease, on the o-ring to make it easier. Do not use petroleum based grease or lubricants on the o-ring as this causes o-rings to swell up and or fail.

Looks alright - You stuck a new Crank Seal in there also? Good Boy - Lubed the Seals before installing them? GOt a new Cam Cover Gasket also? Don't forget to use Silicone in the proper places on the Cam Cover Gasket. Did you also replace your CAS O-Ring while you were at it?
