Hi WyoShelly, I do not have any suggestions other than get as much info as you can I can tell you my experience with Tysabri. I have had 27 infusions; progression has halted for me and some sx improved after 4 (or so) infusions(fatgue, balance, stamina), and recently it's appearing one of long standing (bladder). The infusions, even tho my veins are difficult, have gone ok with no ...

I will call my sister and tell her what you've told me. I don't think she's done much research with RSD, being that the diagnosis is new to her. I do think she would even consider doing an implant, even if there was a change of it helping her. My sister gets around on a knee Anterior cruciate ligament (acl) injury Anterior knee pain Bursa of the knee Dermatitis, herpetiformis on the ...

Recs: 1 Patient Power is Working For the last couple of years I have monitored a UK MS Board from a Tysabri perspective. When I felt I should not be answering the questions through lack of experience ( I do not suffer from MS) I invited Lauren to help which she has done so brilliantly since. Today I read a plea for help on the board and was about to pm Lauren when I ...

I have a question for those on treatment. I have been diagnosed with MS for three years. He started me on Copaxone. He told me it was the easiest to tolerate and better to manage with my hectic schedule. I had brain and spinal lesions at initial. I took Copaxone for a year and a half. Started to get indentions called Lipoatrophy. He nevertold me this was a possible side effect. When I ...

Recs: 14 A Request and a Prediction (NANGASIMON) Earlier this week I posted about my currents thoughts regarding Tysabri. The overwhelming efficacy advantages and the unknown safety concerns. Just to summarize: 1. Will future data points confirm the high statistical p values already evidenced that there is a stratified risk with a MUCH lower risk of PML amoung those ...

Hiya, Just figured I'd give you guys an update - I had my 2nd infusion on Nov. 4th. (and remember, if you all are getting tired of this, just let me know - I don't want to be boring everyone with my Tysabri stuff, lol.) This time, they ran the infusion in alot faster - it must have only been 30 or 40 minutes. I wasn't really paying attention Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder...

Recs: 0 Some thoughts Im surprised that Elan hasnt recovered substantial losses before now, and I expect the credit crunch and general market has much to do with that. The failed sale of EDT has also generated fear that Elan will struggle to raise cash to meet debt requirements in a few years and might even be forced into an offering. I just couldnt see that outcome ...

Recs: 12 THREE TYSABRI QUESTIONS I would like to see answered by ELN at tomorrow's conference (but probably won't) 1) Individuals are reporting that they are not using, or worse yet, going off TYSABRI treatment not because of PML fears, not because of side effects, not because of lack of efficacy, not because of drug costs, but because of INADEQUATE REIMBURSEMENT OF ...
