Hi, They had a bunch of Ridgid Shop Vacs reg price of $99 for $20. The accessories are worth $20 alone so if you need a spare grab them while they are hot. Thanks Rich

Wondering if anyone has figured out a way to make a shop vac more user friendly. I am so tired of the machine getting tangled in the cord or hose and tired of the thing tipping over. Any suggestions?

Re: I hate using shop vacs I like mine. Works well with dust and you can cover a large area quickly. You do have to put up with the neighbors teasing "look he's vacuuming the garage" Attached Images shop vac.jpg (7.3 KB, 3 views)...

Twice now I've walked down my street and have seen a woman with a hard hat out in her yard, shop vac'ing the acorns up out of her lawn. Seems ridiculous, but then again ... I got to thinking yesterday, as I stumbled around on the darned things while I tried to mow the grass, "I wonder what other people do to get rid of these things." Do YOU try to pick them up? Why do you/don't you? If you...

Thanks, runktrun. It sounds like smashed acorns are OK but I should avoid whole ones in the compost. I'm not sure it's worth picking through to pull out the whole ones, I may just skip it all. We do have lots of squirrels, but even more acorns. I don't understand how the squirrels survived last winter, when we didn't have a single acorn--now THAT was weird.
