Hi, ordering some solid oak shelves from local joinery firm. They are providing 3 hafele floating brackets per shelf, each shelf will be 44mm thick, 1300mm x 300mm. It states on the bracket info that they will hold 85kg per m². Any idea how heavy these shelves will be and if 3 brackets will be enough? Also if they hold up the shelf will i be able to actually use it for anything based ...

I have 11 shelving wall bases, 29 shelf brackets, and 12 unfinished wood shelves of varying sizes ready to go. These have been screwed into my walls for two+ years, and they really help maximize your space. At Home Depot this setup would run you a pretty penny. You must bring your own drill, as I have no means of removing them from my walls. Pick up Monday or Tuesday. Lemme know. Read...

How is the belt reliability on the various setups? Especially under extreme hi/low RPM transitions (like an A/X event). Do any of these allow for a "roadside" belt replacement if it breaks? That one component has always been a stumbling block for me and I ask because I'm coming from the C5 Vettes. I would read daily about belt issues: breaking, alignment, difficult replacement, etc. When I...

Steve Power folds, I did the hard way the first time on Raistlins car, I took the doors off to release the connectors for the looms so I could run cables as it is not easy to get past the connectors in situ If I did it again I would get the correct sockets and pins for the door connectors but I won't be doing it again because the job took ages! and I have them in my own car already! A good...

I'm posting on "Great Food" b/c it's KA mixer-related: where's a good source for appliance-lifting shelf brackets? It finally happened--I hurt my back yesterday (not badly) upon lifting my KA from the lower cabinet to the counter. Prices I've found for lifter brackets range from $89 online to $114 at Lowe's; I'm hoping to find them cheaper. Any help would be appreciated! Here's a photo of ...

I've paid good money to a socalled furniture designer to build me a stylish floating bookshelf system. It looked great but after 18 months it's collapsed. The bookcase consists of 6 floating shelves, each shelf supported by two Twinslot 370mm heavy-duty brackets, (a British system, don't know if it's international) which are fixed by means of upright spurs to a floor-to-ceiling MDF board which, ...

When I first converted to 98'+ leaf spring length about two years ago, I used a generic front spring perch that left a lot to be desired ... So it was time to properly finish what I started. I decided to french the hangers into the frame for two reasons... one is the obvious, no more rock shelf. The other is that I would also like to incorporate more up travel in my rear suspension....
