Question I lost my beloved bun of six years Wednesday.  Last week I thought she seemed exceptionally thin, so I moved her away from the window.  I also saw her sit up partially and strain, like she was trying to go to the bathroom.  She has been somewhat incontinent for at least a year.  She seemed to get better, after I moved her but we were gone most of the day on Saturday.  When we came ...

Hi...I've been raising and showing rabbits for 10 years. Are you sure she is just shedding? If she is in with the other rabbit it could be that the other rabbit has been pulling out her hair. I don't ever recommend rabbits being housed together as this is a typical result, they also will usually fight at one point or another even if they seem to get along perfectly and I have seen many that chew ...

Question QUESTION: One of our 4 house buns is about to enter his 6th week of otitis treatment (though for the first 2 he was treated only for head tilt -- I saw the other symptoms early on, but neither I nor our rabbit vet realized they were anything other than head-tilt complications until they persisted after the head tilt was cleared up). He's been on oral Baytril for about 5.5 weeks now...

She is so tiny and cute! She fits right in with those stuffed animals! Enjoy her. Whoohoo and you don't have to worry about her shedding. As for eating poop, that is quite common. My 11 year old beagle loves eating poop of other animals such as rabbits. I recommend that you pick up the product Dis-taste. It makes poop taste bad to them. Telling her no during the act and giving her...

Question QUESTION: My Lionhead had four lil babies three weeks ago and started going to the bathroom in the babies nest. I read that the bunnies will eat that and it is ok. True? Also, she recently began producing a very mushy stool. Very different from the pellets that I am familiar with. I am curious as to why this may be happening. I have read to keep food in her bowl as she is feeding the ...

I have a shih tzu and she meets pretty much all of your requests. She is a little dog (about 11 lbs) that rarely barks, but has a whole lot of energy. She loves to go on walks. She likes to play games inside my apartment like tug-of-war and fetch, but is also very content in jumping up on my lap to be petted. She is very affectionate and loves to follow me and go everywhere I go. I have never had...

Awwww!  That's a great picture.  Yeah - I wouldn't get a dog anywhere else.  I've always been partial to mutts - I just think they are the best all around.  The kids have been begging for an animal for a while.  Dh is allergic to cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc.  I won't do reptiles.  We have fish but the kids don't think they count as pets since you can't play with them.  That pretty much left...

I have 2 dwarf rabbits about 1.5 years old. Today I noticed that one of the rabbits was shedding like crazy and the other one was fine. Almost half of her hair has fallen out already and I don't know whats wrong. Any ideas? P.S. I ran out of vitamins so they haven't had any in a while. Could that be the problem?
