I presume nothing, your ignorance is plain to see. Choices you make in creating the image aren't edits, they're choices in how you're going to depict reality, yes, no still single-frame image can ever really depict reality Since when is making an edit not a choice, and vice versa? They are synonyms, you know? but that doesn't change the fact that a photograph that is half photoshop ...

I've used both on the same machine. Noiseware is faster but not hugely so. End results look the same. Both have to be set for best results but the auto setting on noiseware is quick and generally OK for smaller prints. For larger prints, you have to play around with the settings. On Neat image, if you can get different profiles for your camera at different ISO settings, these can be used to ...

Cervaise , great advice. The new grip will feel funny for a little minute. But Tupug and Mahna , please don't worry too much. Your chances of cutting yourself will rapidly diminish. Holding the knife properly will give you a lot more control over the blade. The blade will not wobble anymore, and so you will in all likelihood cut yourself less. Also, you are much more likely to cut ...

im not so much going for speed in sharpening. i feel like i can get a more consistent job with an electric model. i checked out the model someone suggested from harbor freight....im just leary of getting tools of this nature (grinding or cutting precision angles) from them. the price couldn't be better though, but im a believer in "you get what you pay for". i don't really want the dremel ...

No one has been a more ardent supporter than I of 4.4; it did everything I needed and/or wanted for processing HS sports shooting - everything. To me, a simple (I'm not sure how simple it would be) solution was to modify 4.4 to allow D3/300 images to be processed, but that didn't happen. And I DO think that Nikon s/w really screwed up and did a poor job of scoping out the needs of users - ...

Day 1 with the Canon EOS 5DMKII beta camera. WOW!! That's pretty much all I can say about this camera. I've been out for most of the morning shooting with the 5DMKII beta. As I mentioned earlier, the camera itself is a robust, well made, and very solid feeling camera. It doesn't feel at all 'plasticky' like many other semi-pro cameras ...
