Just to agree with what seems to be the consensus. I would never use Shake for mogfx, but then I probably wouldn't use AE for anything else. I find Shake's way of working so much easier for planning, executing, and modifying a composite. That said, Shake's QT support sucks (and I think that might be a generous term to use). I generally do images in and out of Shake and use AE to make images of QT...  |

Wow! Alright so we're back on topic now? haha. Everyone friends? haha I'm kidding, I appreciate the help, I really do. After reading a lot of this I'm starting to think that maybe I'll just stick to the E8400. I am trying to save as much as possible so if I cutting the ram in half I'd prefer to just keep that as savings. But memory is ... |

Also Shake is only for Macs but you can use After Effects and get similar results... for 3D stuff (Maya, XSI, Max, ZBrush, Mudbox...) I would stay away from Macs. Get a W700! |
