wow that is so funny...they weren't bs'ing you about the GTI owner interest , and the smoke bothered me also. i asked them to hook the car up to their diagnostic equipment to clear the TPMS light, because we filled all four tires up to 39psi, and it still stayed on...but the service manager told me salesman that it wasn't compatible to the audi stuff. i thought that was kinda bs, but didn't...

Went to the dealer this week and was told my car needs an action RVUTB Code 24M2 03..Yesterday the CEL came on .Hooked up the Vag com and it says there is a problem with intake Flap open and a few other related remarks .I could not clear the Cel with vag com .Today the light is gone . Dealers are outrageous! I took my car in once for the brake pedal sensor on recall. While waiting in the "service" department lobby, another guy had his A4 Golf in there for some service. The service writer informed him that he had one headlight, a right rear running light, and a left brake light burned out. Quoted him $80 to change them, plus the price of the bulbs. I was so close to telling him...

Well, there is a steering wheel cover (not OEM and looks lot worse in my opinion) instead of airbag which has written NO AIRBAG INSIDE (OEM has written just AIRBAG). Also, I think VAG-COM was designed to do modifications (and that what I payed money for) bigger than just disabling seatbelt chime and setting the service intervals...
