My ANA was positive homogeneous pattern 1/320 titer. CK was 311 IU/L. But my sed rate was 7 and SS-A IgG and SS-B IgG Autoantibodies were negative. WBC was 5.6 and lymphocytes were slightly elevated and granulocytes were slightly decreased. All other cbc results were normal. No lyme disease antibodies. Evoked potentials and MRI's showed no signs of MS. My symptoms are very much like ...

Replying to: Lab results Hey, Robbin- I just did a search on Web MD and here's what it said: "The sedimentation rate (sed rate) blood test measures how quickly red blood cells (erythrocytes) settle in a test tube in one hour. The more red cells that fall to the bottom of the test tube in one hour, the higher the sed rate. When inflammation is present in the body, certain proteins ...

Here is what I can tell you. Your TSH is NOT NORMAL. The new ranges (were changed over 5 years ago) for TSH are .3 - 3. And the current thinking among endocrinolgist specialist is that that range will drop to 2 being the highest. Most labs are still using OLD ranges. I was severely hypothyroid with a TSH of 2.88. I needed treatment. And adding Armour thyroid made all the difference...

None of my docs have done incessant inflammatory marker testing. They treat my symptoms and physical findings, not my labs. Remember your sed rate says absolutely nothing about UC. It merely signifies that you have inflammation in your body. If you're flaring at all, that contributes to it. If you cut your finger and your body is fighting off a tiny infection, that contributes. If you ...

One think I noticed when I used to work in insurance, visiting clients in their homes is that whenever I visited someone on oxygen, I felt so much better from breathing the extra oxygen in the ambient air in their homes. People with our illnesses usually suffer from chronic infections and often from excess fibrin overgrowth in the blood. This condition provides an excellent low-oxygen ...

Replying to: INFO ON LAB RESULTS PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Hi, Your numbers are elevated. A sed rate is a test for inflammation. Normal at most labs is between 0 - 20. So, you have inflammation but you probably already knew that. Your rheumatoid factor is high. Normal is usually anything less than 14. Not sure about the ANA test, I have always tested negative for that. You can ...
