LOL! Quote: I'm hoping it doesn't mean taking the whole rear seat out to fix it. Well, I guess this means my hopes are dashed! Apparently no simple, quick fix--time to push it off a cliff and be done with it! :-D

What year is the van? Since it's a rental, I assume that it is relatively new (newer than 2002 anyway). It should have Latch in at least two seating positions. But you can install with seatbelts. Here is what you should do: put the carseat in, pull the lap portion of the belt tight. Slowly pull the shoulder part allllll the way out of the retractor, and then let it go back in while holding the ...

At least I think that's what it's called! Basically, the wee button which stops the seatbelt clip from falling down to the floor everytime is not on my drivers side belt. Any idea where I can get one button? At the moment it's a major pain in the ass as I need to keep the door open, fiddle about to find the seatbelt pluggy in thing (anyone know what that is actually called?) and then I...

I have 5 kids. When I only had 4 there was no way I would ever decide to cram them all into dh's car, putting one up front. We like to take dh's car to concerts. This week, though the concert does not have an age minimum, so we will be taking the 5 and 7 year olds as well as the 8 year old. (Usually only 8 year old can come) While I would love to find a way to fit all 3 kids in dh's ...

I need carseat help and I'm told this is the place to go! My 4mo DS has outgrown his bucket in height and is coming close in weight and we need to move on to a convertible now. We try to be a mostly car free family but it's winter and our schedules are making it difficult to keep DS out of a vehicle. My Mom babysits for us and I have bought a used(from a friend, know the history) Britax ...

ok, cool. I noticed the Choice site said the most recent revision was March this year. & the RACV site must be under repair, it won't let me see the homepage. I'll look again tonight. So, would anyone here rate them? Are they comparable to the Maxi Rider? The thing I like about the SnS seats is the antisubmarine clip, but by the time Torin is using the seat as a booster, he ...

the black headpadding is optional. i never even used it. i'm not familar with that type of seatbelt. lets see if i inderstand it tho. the lap portion locks & stays tightened right? if it does then that is all you need. no need for a locking clip. the install looks just fine. the arrows just show that that belt path is the right one for FF. no need for it to fully lineup. YAY on ...

If you have LATCH (lower anchors) and not just top tethers your belts lock and you should not use the locking clip AND lock the belt. If you are installing it with the LATCH anchors (which is what the picture looks like) You can NOT use the locking clip that is for the seatbelt only and you must choose EITHER the belt OR LATCH never both. If you are installing the seat with the seatbelt ...

So I'm sure there is already discussion on this, but let's start it fresh. With the winter coming and flood season in parts of the country, being able to survive for a little while if your car breaks down (or there is civil unrest, or zombies, or whatever you think your emergency might be), what kind of a kit do you keep in your car? Here is the contents of my duffle bag in my car: • ...
