I'm pretty sure that car has a 'locking latchplate', which holds just the lapbelt tight, but not the shoulderbelt. You can test it by buckling the seatbelt, giving the shoulderbelt a tug forward, and then pulling the lapbelt to see if it's staying tight. If it does, that's what you have. Problem is, it doesn't always hold a carseat in tightly. The easiest fix is to install the seat as usual, ...

What year Vue are you looking out. I believe that it underwent a total redesign in 07 or08. I had an 03 and it was great. It had 3 sets of LATCH (current model only has 2 sets, but I think 3 TAs). I got three-across several times. The center seat especially has forward of the bite seatbelt, but you can use LATCH so it wouldn't be a big deal unless you had a child over 48#s in a Radian or ...

As stated above - anyone in the Dallas/Plano TEXAS area? I took my car to the car wash yesterday and notice the air bag indicator (icon) on the dash is lit. The only thing I could think of was the passenger seat was moved all the way back to be vacuumed and maybe something got disconnected. I took off the battery for a few hours (overnight) but it didn't do anything. I've ...

I'm not sure this is human behavior, but when ever any of us gets out a bag to start packing for an overnight or trip (suitcase, duffle bag, etc.) Snickers comes over and gets in the bag. It's like he's telling us he wants to come too. He actually does travel with us most of the time (but only in a bag on the airplane once a year - otherwise he rides in the car on a carseat (boost him up) and ...

Next BKK to REP. So off to my next destination Siam Reap and the temples of Angkor Wat. PG905 1135 hours to 1235 hours. A nearly uneventful trip to the airport. On my previous trip here the taxi driver insisted that I see his friend the tailor and visit a ping pong show at his other friends establishment. Neither activity appealed to me so I begged off and then foolishly mentioned that I ...

A little disappointed in the weight, Nissan failed there, making it smaller but weighs more than my 2003 350Z. These specs are off Nissan's website and I assume they will not change. It also looks like only 2 models, Base and Touring Here are some specs of interest: Engine Horsepower 332 @ 7,000 RPM Torque (lb-ft) 270 @ 5,200 RPM Compression ratio 11:1 Maximum engine speed ...

I just bought a Safeguard Go today ($28 - warehouse sale for a catalog company, bag with directions still factory attached to seatbelt, manufactured March 2008 - I know, don't buy a "sample" but for $28?? Under these conditions? Couldn't pass it up). I'm trying to figure out how to best configure my carseats. I have a 5 year old - long torso. 43", 44 pounds. Over the top of the shell of...
