I've just installed PP3, and now I'm trying to get my tagged photos to be indexed using the Search 4.0 indexer. How do I manually kick off a reindex of the files on my WHS's HDD? It doesn't seem to be doing it automatically.

yesterday i have rebuilt my search index.... a popup appeared saying to wait because phpbb was rebuilding the search index and that it could take some hours but now it have been over 24hours and the message is still showing..... how can i know if the search index was successfully rebuilt ? If the server (or my internet connexion) crashed for a few seconds i suppose the rebuilding process was ...

I'm, for example, searching the Music Index for artist The Cure and getting results with similar artist names like Jah Cure. How can I limit my search results to items by just The Cure? I am comfused why explorer in XP must have folder index or it won't search for file. I have to search in command window using dir c:\*.pdta /s There is no way to do this in explorer w/o index? I not admin on all PCs and user cannot always know how to index all folder. Suggestion please? 1 person needs an answer I do too

Hi Just the database naming policy I'd used the default one during migration (Migration are not allow to change the name) from SPS03 to MOSS07 so I wonder that can I changed the database name. Thank you

Connect to your WHS Console via RDP and 'Right-Click' the magnifying glass in the bottom right taskbar and select 'Windows Search Options' then the button 'Advanced' and under 'Troubleshooting' click the button 'Rebuild' and that will rebuild your indexed locations.

Hi, As to "why", that might be floating out there in Adobe's devnet space or in one of the blogs maintained by Adobe's devnet crew. Also good to know about use of embedded index - if used, cannot apply fast web view to the PDF. It is one or the other, but not both. Work around? I've not come across one; but, that does not mean something isn't "out there" . Be well......
