Greetings -Going to try posting a few pics of my trips to Scotland in July 08 & 09, so those of you who haven't / can't visit the place get an idea of what you are missing. For those that could make it but haven't yet, hopefully this will spur you on to make the effort. What awaits? Great (pretty empty) roads, gorgeous scenery, friendly people, good food and beer/wine. Watcha ...

Hi Andrew - thank you. I'm so envious of your roads and scenery. I'll be back next year again, for my 6th tour with my daughter. I liked this view of the harbour at Portree on Skye. Early July in Spean Bridge and there is still snow on the montains. Ben Nevis is up there in the clouds somewhere behind the nearest hill. Our visit to the Culloden battlefield memorial - ...

We have just returned to New Zealand after a 2 week driving tour of Scotland . Our Itinerary was organised by Secret Scotland Tours ( www.secret-scotland.com ). I just wanted to post my comments on this company, who are fantastic. There is no doubt that having this itinerary was a huge benefit to us. Originally I supplied Secret Scotland with my own ideas, and preferences...

we(a family of four including a infant of 18 months old) traveled Scotland in the month of October this year....we stayed at Dundee and luckily found through internet a guide with a lovely 8 seater car to travel all along Scotland . It was "Craig mini tours" with the knowledgeable guide Craig. We had a good time in some of the highlands and palaces in Scotland...He guided us...

I recently used the services of Craig McCall Flynn (Mini Tours) as a private guide and driver for a 16-day tour of Scotland . My decision to book Craig was based on his website, solid credentials, and prior client comments. From the start, Craig was terrific. He immediately responded to my numerous queries regarding our itinerary. His recommendations were all incorporated, ...

It's a shame he doesn't seem to be listed on Tripadvisor. He gets fabulous feedback which would be very useful in the reviews section. Sounds like a good time was had by all:)

I have also always done my own planning, and in this case I actually did hours of planning, and had the itinerary basically worked out before I discovered the Secret Scotland site. From my original plan, they suggested a couple of variations (I hadn't planned to stay in either Gairloch or Pitlochry). They also gave me some more accurate indications of travel times than I was getting ...

I have to jump in here with my recommendation of Craig McCall as well! My family and I toured Scotland with Craig for a week this summer...2 parents in their late 70s/80s, my husband and myself, and our 2 children ages 10 and 13. As previous posts have said, Craig is witty and easy-going, and works to put together a holiday that is truly memorable. Most of the places we saw we never ...

Lovely time you had! I don't see Mini Tours Scotland listed in the review section - perhaps I'm not looking hard enough, but it would be nice if you were able to post this as a proper review for posterity. All I can find on Tripadvisor for mini tours, apart from plenty of forum mentions is a listing here: tripadvisor.com/Resources-g186485-Maps-Scotl… :)

Craig McCall Flynn (Mini Tours) is just simply adorable: what great fun! Polite, cheerful and very knowledgable (watch out for a tall tale here and there), he definitely was a plus to our trip. One week in the Borders seeing the abbeys and one week west of Aberdeen seeing the castles - "it ticked all the boxes". Adding to the magic was the day trip to the Braemar Gathering and a glimpse...
