Hi there I hope this is the right place to ask this, apps if not! Many years ago I was in a pub and there on the screen was a sci fi movie involving a woman in a shiny red (bikini type) outfit and lots of other women and quys in black outfits. They seemed to be on a space ship and there were outside scenes with them all avoiding what looked like dinosaurs. It looked great but I never got to...

Hey guys. Can anyone suggest a fantasy and/or sci-fi movie? I'll watch just about anything. I just got done watching "The Island," and I loved it! I'll watch animated movies too, I am not that picky. Just recommend whatever movie, from whenever.

While flipping though the channels the other day trying to find Sci-Fi on my new cable I noticed they have re-branded them selves as "SyFy". A couple of months back they mentioned a new sci-fi was coming but this is just retarded. The new theme of the channel is imagination rather than science fiction. Scifi.com now redirects to SyFy.com also. Got to be one of the dumbest moves in this ...

I'm not a huge sci-fi fan (I read it now and then). So I'm wondering how other people feel about made-up futuristic words and languages in sci-fi writing? While I get the idea behind it, and sometimes it can be cleverly done, more often than not it's just annoying. My reaction is "yes, yes, we know you feel the need to have your characters talk differently, since it's supposed to be a ...

Yes, it's true. "Siffy", spelled Syfy, is the new name of the popular science-fiction channel "Sci Fi". I don't know about you but every time I hear the announcer say "Sci Fi" but see "Syfy" in great big letters on the screen it gives me a headache and makes me want to I don't think I'll ever get use to it. How do the rest of you out there in Sci Fi-land feel about the name change...

Sci Fi Channel becomes Syfy; will viewers tune in or drop out? On Tuesday, the Sci Fi Channel changes its name to Syfy -- pronounced "sigh-fie," the same as the current name -- a moniker that's attracted its share of mockery since its announcement three months ago. The idea is to expand Sci Fi's audience, but some members of that audience have expressed their displeasure. "Perhaps...
