Well, I'm doing MY part! I just bought the old victorian that used to be Knight's appraisals across from where Jim McDonald's garage used to be. You're right. Someone let this place really go. I've already started scaling off some of the peeling paint and prime it, and I'll dig in again once it warms up in the spring. You'll see a change over here by midsummer, that's for sure!!:-)

Why are my bump maps inverting?!? I am having a problem where the bump maps on all the parts of my model that were mirrored over are inverted. For instance you build a left leg of a mech and then duplicate, group it to itself anf then scale it -1 in x to make a copy on the right side. All is well as long as you do not try to freeze all your transforms. When I finalize my ...

Not sure what to tell you. The bleeding is due to the stretchbltmode call. Remove it, no bleeding but quality may be poorer. There are many stretching algorithms, Nearest Neighbor (used by VB I believe), Bi-Linear, Bi-Cubic and others. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages, along with quality vs speed tradeoffs. Text will probably look the poorest because it generally consists ...

This environment was my submission for an art test that I was asked to do by a large, successful UK games studio (still awaiting outcome so cannot name at present). I was given a reference photograph and instructed to recreate the scene, giving it more dirt and grime and a lighting setup that suggested a feeling of foreboding. I was also told that I could add to the concept as long as the budget...

For serious continual use, or if you plan to use it as a primary input device, 6x8 is the...

1: You have to harvest pictures (I refer to it as harvesting. ) and figure out the angle from which you will draw the picture. You can draw the image head on (shows only one side; easy) or at an angle (shows two sides; a bit more challenging but easier than you think). 2: You have to figure out the dimensions of the building (at least approximate) and taking the complexity of the ...

Hello, Here's my two cents: 1) Blender has a fantastic UV, Texturing, and Materials system. Making good use of Blender's UV export, Texture Paint, and advanced material simulations allow even novices to create very professional looking results in a very short time. 2) The interface can be hard to get into (but this is true for EVERY 3D program the first time around). Blender's ...

So far the only thing on her list is an Easy Bake Oven, she loves to cook so I think this will go over well. Plus it makes me feel nostalgic as I used to love cooking with mine when I was about her age. I saw that they also brought back the Snoopy Shaved Ice Maker, anyone else love that as a child :) We are got her a new comforter and am looking for curtains and a fun oversized throw pillow for...
