I've shot all my most recent stuff in 1080i60 or 1080p30 (HDV) and the eventual SD DVD results are better than starting with DV (widescreen). Particulars: when I shoot DV, it is with a Sony PDX10 is 16x9 mode. Unlike many DV cameras, it actually uses enough pixels when shooting 16x9. HDV: Sony V1U at either 60i or 30p. I like 30p because if helps in low light with this camera. In...

But at the same time, turning it into a mess complete with byzantine combat rules was really not the answer. That makes perfect sense! So then, if odd pixel resolutions are sent, it's really up to the scaler as to if it gets displayed, or not, and if so, full screen or not.
