Well I have digestion problems and sitting for a long time without going to the bathroom is really rare when out of the house so I really need to know how long it takes for a session (quadrant) for a periodontal scaling and root planning? My teeth aren't really bad but the bottom front are the worst of all of my teeth. Some people say it is a 15-20 minute session per quadrant but others say its...

Hi I I had a family emergency this past week and have not been able to come back and update. After over 20 years I went to the dentist. (See my posting in the fear section) To be honest, it went OK. Not good, not bad... Just OK. The results were better than I had feared! 2 extractions (1 is a wisdom tooth) 2 fillings, and full scaling and root planing. All done under conscious ...

I'm am just completing deep root scaling and planning for periodontal disease now. The cost was $250 per quadrant. Xrays and the intial assessment were extra at $210. Worth every penny, too. I'm fighting to save what teeth I can and will loose the front top four. Do ask what your charges were for but dental work is so expensive.

I have had 2 and they aren't bad at all! It depends on your pain tolerance. I didn't need any of the stronger meds - just 600mg of motrin for the first day and I was good after that. I agree that your jaw may be sore - but mine gets sore after cleaning anyway. GL Right now I am probably getting ready to find out I need another one. My family has TERRIBLE teeth - they look good, but my ...

Question I've been seeing a student dentist at the University of Southern California. She's quite clumsy with sharp instruments, and when she did the periodontal exam to test the depth of the pockets around my gums she caused me a lot of pain and made me bleed. When I complained she said it was just because my gums were sensitive and the bleeding was a symptom of disease. I finally got sick of...

Some people have expressed an interest in the capability of the LX3 sensor, and thanks to a few people willing to take a series of RAW images to my specifications, I was able to infer some of its properties. If you have no interest in this sort of thing, please move quietly on to another thread. I have to say, I am quite impressed with the LX3's sensor; I couldn't believe the efficiency ...
