Just my 2 cents We are driving down this time - around 1100 miles from Chicago. We will be driving down Nov 26 and returnng home Dec 10th. We have flown many times before, but I find that our road trips together help reconnect my DH and I. We talk, laugh and joke together for the entire trip. We drove to Williamsburg last year and enjoyed the road trip almost as much as the vacation itself. We ...

The weekend started with a hook-up at Mazcare as mention with Dano and TA. It's always fun traveling with friends but this time I got an unexpected cheep thrill when we went under some Atlanta Airport extension which is an awsome tunnel or something. Windows down and top back I geared down... 5, 4, 3... and nailed it! Dang, that exhaust sounds great in a tunnel environment. The trip was very ...

Nancy I wrote the below article months ago but it is still 95% true today. In fact Savannah just ordered 4 more new super cranes for our ports and our tourism has reached almost 7 million people per year. Personally I would rather be a tour guide in the warm beauty of Key West or Charleston or Savannah than the town you described. this is not to sell you on Savannah but to give ...

I just bought tickets from Shreveport, LA to Savannah, GA for $1,500 each But if the guys I was buying tickets for would have driven to Dallas they would have been about $500 each. So it really depends on what airport you're flying out of (as others have stated, ). So, the fares aren't so bad if you are willing to do a little research and/or a little driving.

A bunch of friends of mine from high school attended SCAD and a number still live in the Savannah area. SCAD is a great art school and pretty much overtakes the majority of downtown savannah. The majority of apartments downtown are on the more expensive side, but SCAD does have some of the nicer dorms that I have seen. The art and music scenes are very prevalent and well respected. Lots of ...
