It finally happened to me. I attempted to call 911 and my cell phone didn't have a signal (for no good reason). DO NOT GET COMFORTABLE WITH RELIANCE ON 911. ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. As for my interesting afternoon at Bass Pro, I'll just let you read the letter I just wrote to the State's Attorney's victim/witness coordinator. Oh, it was fun! We've got a resisting ...

One of the previous jobs I had we were issued BodyGuard OC spray. I never used it. My first experience with pepper spray was getting sprayed by a shoplifter. The only thing that stopped me was that I couldn't breathe any more to chase this guy. Someone else caught the dude after he emptied his can. Another thing, I had such a huge adrenaline rush I did not feel any pain until at least 20 minutes ...

The posters saying pepper spray are on the mark. Get a good one, fox, sabre, or bear attack. I sprayed two rottys once that were intent on eating me, IMMEDIATELY they both fell into asthma like attacks, couldn't breathe, ran. They never came near me again. They would run if they as much as saw me. GREAT STUFF!

i am carrying daily the Sabre Red 56gr/60ml with cone spray type. When in jeans, it is in a pouch on my belt, when in 5.11 pants, it is either in my mag front pocket or in the regular front side pocket. I had to use it once when i was attacked, but then, since it was called, it was in my pocket of my jacket. it is the same spray used locally by the LE. It looks like the mk-3.5 on ...

My wife and Mom both carry Sabre Red, but I'm seriously thinking about that Kimber Guardian Angel. Never heard of it before, but the video and the other ads for it make some sense. Who knows if it's legit, but I'd imagine that it's at least worth me looking into for them. My only problem is that I keep having to buy my Mom new OC canisters. She keeps going to Angels games (we're season ...

Carl Levitian is completely right ANYTHING can be a weapon. I work in correcions and we train all of our new recruits that detainees can and will make a weaponn out of anything they can get their hands on. She can do the same. Big water bottles, small metal lamps, 2D cell Maglite, even a nice big hard cover textbook, all of the above and more can be turned against someone if necessary....

Here's the situation: My neighbor's 2 big german shepherds broke down their gate earlier today and got loose. The are usually nice dogs, and I have never seen them act aggressively, before today that is. I went out to go get my mail, and let my dog out so she could relieve herself in the meantime, and out of the clear blue, here come one of these dogs charging at us, barking and snarling. I...
