This computer has an issue where it continually puts up prompts to reinstall the McAfee Security Suite. We cannot uninstall the version we find in Add/Remove Programs, nor can we reinstall the software from scratch. It becomes so annoying we cannot perform any tasks with this machine; it took several attempts to save the requisite programs and log ...

Suddenly my McAfee Security Center is reporting that my computer is not protected. The main McAfee screen tells me that some components are missing and I need to reinstall it. I have tried to reinstall numerous times and have been in contact with several McAfee online agents that have remotely done the same with no success. The last agent told me “this issue is due to some problems with ...

Since McAfee Security Center is acting up and McAfee's support agents can't fix the problem, I'd uninstall McAfee and replace it with a different product.  You have to uninstall it before you can install AVG, Avast, etc.  A computer can't have more than one antivirus program. Did you disable McAfee? If not, uninstall it please. It hasnt protected you from this malware so it's useless anyway. Take a note of the product key first it you wish to reinstall it. Reboot afterwards and try again. Also download and run Gmer as I asked previously. I need to see that log.
