If it was me, I would get a receiver hitch put on the back. Then for pulling people out, look on line at off road parts houses and get a end for the receiver that has a hook or a shackle on the end. And as far as pulling from the front it might be strong enough, But keep in mind if the strap or chain were to break chances are it will come threw the windshield. I've seen it happen.
