I have installed Windows 7 32 bit to a Sylvania G Netbook, and am overall very pleased. Most devices work well, and Windows 7 seems to run stable, and reasonably quick. There is one nagging problem with the above referenced ethernet driver (RTL8139). Using the newest drivers posted by Realtek (as of Nov 15, 2009) the drivers install, but the status of the driver is "code 31", and it does not ...

Hello, I have an intermittant problem with my "realtek rtl8139 family pci fast ethernet". It works and then suddenly gives a 'no connectivity' problem and when I run a diagnostic test it gives me "realtek rtl8139 family pci fast ethernet nic FAILED". I put a linux disk into the pc and reboot into linux, it boots up and then asks for a password, I then restart the PC without the disc ...

actual fix - seems the router is faulty and not sending an IP address all the time. I put an IP Address in instead of automatically finding one under control panel->network connection->(connection)properties->tcp/ip and then 'use address' now the internet is working again, I will get it checked out. I had done everything from resetting modem to uninstalling servicepack 3. happy days

  Hi, What do I need to do if I need to develop an eboot driver for a Realtek Ethernet adapter other than RTL8139. The Ethernet adapter we have is RTL8102. Need to know what sections of the code for RTL8139 need to be changed to suit the eboot for RTL8102. Thanks in Advance...

  It looks like you have borrowed your code from the rtl8139 ethdbg so the message is quite clear: KITL wants to have a DMA buffer with 0x10000 size while your code claims that a DMA buffer for your adapter must be at least 0x182010. This size is defined in the code as MIN_DMA_SIZE and the comments explain how it is computed. You can ...

Hi. Who succeeded in making a dsdt.aml of RTL8139 Family for Snow Leopard ? If using the dsdt.aml, perhaps, Safari may work faster. If you got it, please post your dsdt.dsl . ( not your dsdt.aml )
