This is driving me crazy. My PC runs great, but there is obviously an issue with the drivers for Realtek and Win 7. Sometimes I have sound, sometimes I don't. You just never know. Most of the time it doesn't even register that I have speakers. I've tried downloaded the driver from the HP site. I've also tried downloading the driver from Realtek's site. Nothing has worked yet. Still no ...

Well, I didn't want to send my computer back because it's running nicely, like yours, so I just bought a USB adapter and connected my speakers to it.  Yeah, I am impatient.  I don't want...

I have a macbook pro, and I have been told that I need to install the latest Realtek HD audio drivers, as the drivers included on the OSX cd are not the right ones. I have downloaded both the executable installer for the drivers, and the zip file, but whichever way I approach it, after installation and restarting, I'm left with a little red x over my audio icon in the bottom right, no sound, ...

Thank you for your help. Windows audio service is on and set to automatic. I believe I have the correct drivers downloaded, the same ones you linked to. I tried installing the drivers via the executable file under Vista and XP SP 2 compatibility modes, as an administrator, each time yielding the same negative result. Now however, if I try this again, the realtek installer tells me "no ...

Ok, I am not sure what is wrong. It seems like the issue could be a short or bad drivers. I have provided a link to the most up to date drivers for the Realtek HD audio chips below. This is what I am currently using. http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...33_7Vista.h tml If these do not work, try plugging the speakers into the front panel and see if the issue goes away. If it does, you...

Thanks for the help. I found that realtek drivers work with my SoundMax HD Audio so I might get that after trying the newer Win 7 Version of my SoundMax. I also found a Realtek made 3D Sound Back program that should restore effects, I'll see what that'll do. Thanks a lot 10TaTioN for taking the time to find something for me.
