Not sure about Win 7, but on my XP system the RAID 1 configuration I have flashes for a moment on the start up screen. You have to read fast to see it, which brings up a question that maybe someone else can answer. Is there a way to slow down or momentarily freeze the startup screen? Rap

No straight answer to this question. You got to weight the pro and con for using 4 x 2Gb and 2 x 2GB ram configuration. In theory, 4 x 2GB should be able to allow the system to run faster as it's running like RAID configuration for hard drives, multiple data bit processing at the same time, but, we can't denied the fact that having more ram module also increase the overhead for memory ...

There is something wrong with that 5410 system... There is no way the RAID 1 array should have 2-4 times the performance of the RAID 10 configuration... That seems to be where you're losing it, as the top couple CPU based benchmarks seem to be about the same, which is about what I'd expect in that comparison. That is definitely an IO issue, not a CPU issue there.
