My daughter is a Radiologist for Spectrum Health in Michigan, and I explained to her about the Dominion, and had her look at the websight and she was impressed. She said that the CT scanner they use is only big enough to fit a head in, and alot of the other equipment they have to be shielded from radiation. She liked the idea of the mobility and portability of this unit and that it emulates a 16 ...

Last Friday I had an US appt to check on the growth/size of my DD. After waiting 45 mins. to be called in (with a VERY full bladder ), the ultrasound tech was acting as if she was just clueless and did not know what she was doing. She had to have not 1 but 2 other more experienced techs to come in and help her do different things. After 1 1/2 hours of this, she finally took the pics to ...

This has been playing on my mind a lot this week and it's agitating me a bit... I think it's because I've now had my 6 months post-coiling scans and am just waiting for the results... limboing rather! Since the radiologist seemed so happy with her initial view of my angiogram, I'm going to assume that things are as they should be in my head... which will take me to a whole new position on this...

Hello All, Nick had an LP yesterday. His pressure was 360 and they took 30 cc'c off but it took forever! The nurse and radiologist seemed to think this was a bit "different" then what they usually see and were not sure why the fluid seemed to be coming out so slow. Is that what you all typically see with your LP's? Tlang

Just curious... I was thinking about joining the Air Force and getting trained to become a diagnostic radiologist. Has anyone heard of the program or completed it through the Air Force? Also, what would you have to score on the ASVAB to get a spot in the program? I realize that there is a lot of competition and risk trying to become a civilian radiologist, and I wanted to know if it would be ...

I had a rating for lumbosacral strain in my back and when I was examined the doctor changed it to Degenerative Joint Disease of the lumbar spine. My son is a radiologist and he told me that in addition to Degenerative Joint Disease of the spine, I have Degenerative Disk Disease of the spine. Does it make any difference for the rating analyst?
