I have not taken apart this set up before. But one way to get the part is to go to your local dealer and have them print out the parts diagram for the seat your working on. Point out the part and they can order it. From what I have seen in other makes and models the power seat rails actually hold the seat to the floor, but the does come off the seat, Im sure someone in the forums can help more....

most probably been covered before but I figured I'd post this just because... anyway. ok so your seat stopped going backward or forward or up/down. or either or. dammit, now you have to buy a good used track assembly for $100 or so off ebay or what not. why cant you fix it yourself?? well, I at least wanted to know exactly what was wrong with the stupid thing....

Removed when I upgraded to 03 cobra's, it worked just fines when I pulled it out the car about 3 or 4 months ago. $175 shipped obo gets it. *Note* The seat switch was purchased in 06' but installed Jan. 09 (sat it box) so it is pretty new. putting power seat into a 2006 manual track car?

so i get everything done, i got the seats from another crown vic, was told it was an 04. got the door panel with the seat controls on it. my car being 2006 it already came pre-wired for power seats even-though it's manual track now. anyhow, the plugs are different, i can't plug the power seat harness to the control switch on the door panel, what gives? what year did this change? my next ...
