QUESTION: Dear Kevin, i have a maxtor basicsTM 300GB external HDD which has been detected on this compaq presario 1685 notebook with winME. After connecting the HDD thro' USB port, the HDD is detected as mass storage device, and is successfully installed with the drivers. the drive also shows up in the hardware profile, BUT I couldn't find a new drive as in WinXP or Vista, neither a new drive ...
