Keep in mind, the Prius doesn't have a classic "transmission". It's got a
planetary gear set... I don't recall gear is connected where, but you've got connections to the ICE, one Motor/Gen, and a 2nd MG+output drive belt. "Shifting" is accomplished by varying the power/drag on the two MGs. So, shifting to neutral is only a computer input. It still would have been nice to have the driver ...
