Hi all, I just purchased that pioneer HD adapter GEX-p20HD and got the Y-adapter as well..I'm wondering if you know if there is any thing else I need. As long as the HD adapter is plugged in the radio will show "HD radio" and won't use its own tuner. If I unplug the power from the HD adapter, the radio will then start to use its own tuner. Hey I'm looking at getting a new headunit with some xmas money, and have narrowed it down the P7100BT and was just wondering if anyone had ever used and had any thoughts about it. another quick thing is it says it requires a "Pioneer CD-IU50" if i wish to use it with my iPod, what is stopping me from using the standard iPod USB lead with it? Hey guys I picked this up and dont want it. It is a Pioneer DEH-P3600. It does work fine and comes with a 6 disc changer, Pioneer CDX-P680, and the wiring for it. I ordered a new Alpine headunit with ipod control and because of a little order conflict it appears as if Crutchfield sent me an extra in dash receiver kit and wiring harness. SO if that comes in next week. You can have that too!...

Pioneer Headunit problem My pioneer headunit went from working occasionally, to not working at all. I did some investigating today. There is a resistor on the pioneer harness for the ACC and Ilumination wires. The one on the ACC wire has failed. Is this resistor necessary? It is purple and has brown/black/red/gold stripes on it...

I can get AM it is just that the HD adapter does not pick up analog signals as well as the base tuner. I ended up using the y-adapter and taping the HD-adapter to the outside so if I needed the AM stations in a remote location where the signal isn't as strong I could just unplug the HD-adapter and use the headunits tuner Quote: Originally Posted by Bwcad1 ...
