Ugh! I'm in so much pain! My uterus hurts! I just had a pelvic exam, a breast examination, and 2 ultrasounds. Then she stuck her fingers way up there and started pushing on my uterus! What will 1st appt. pelvic exam show?

I'm pretty sure my doctor is planning a pelvic exam for my first appt. next week, but no ultrasound or doppler. I'll be 7 weeks 2 days. I'm really nervous because the last time I ended up having an empty sac at my first u/s at 11 weeks. What is the point of the pelvic exam? What can my doctor learn from it? Can it provide any peace of mind that everything is going okay so far?

probably because of the exam. The plug is pretty obvious if you see it. I have plenty of friends that never noticed when the plug game out. I was in the shower and it was obvious to me. Near the end, I had light, brown spotting after each appointment.

makes me cringe. I am 4 1/2 weeks PP, and I don't even want to schedule my 6 week PP follow up because I can't bear the thought of a pelvic exam. I'm still too sore. Is it a full on pelvic exam with a speculum and everything?
