Yesterday, I tripped over my headphones and it yanked out of the port. This resulted in the last working audio out on my PC being rendered completely useless. (the one in the back is also damaged, but works on one channel) What would be a good replacement for my sound card? I want to use the back port from now on. It doesn't need to be amazing, but an improvement would be nice. I can't buy it...

I overloaded my audio jack on my pc a few weeks ago, so i went out and purchased a cheap as hell sound card. For some reason when i install it, it doesn't get recognized. I tried different pci slots, and got it to work once for a day and then it stopped working. Any idea's why it might have stopped working?

Open your case cover and tell if there was there an internal cable connecting the sound card to a port on the motherboard. A customer had one added to his 630i and lost the ability to use the front headphone jack. Is that normal? I am only using the onboard audio on mine.
