I am now told by a new primary care physician that there is no reason for pap smears in women who have had hysterectomies as there is no longer a cervix. This makes sense, but I'm afraid to stop having a cancer ...

I just heard on the today show.... I guess now they (whoever they are lol) are saying women don't need to get paps before the age of 21 even if they are sexually active before then. And that you only need a pap every 2 years!! I personally think that is crazy!! I mean plenty of girls are sexually active as teenagers. So say you get HPV at 15, don't get a pap until you are 21....I ...

I supppose with 47 million new people in the system and no new MD's or facilities, rationing is absolutely inevitable, just like in Canada. Chaoulli v. Quebec The majority opinion stated: "The evidence in this case shows that delays in the public health care system are widespread, and that, ...

I hit my "brave new world of rationing" in 1984 when my costs for a genetic autoimmune disease pushed me up against the lifetime maximum payout on my Blue Cross PPO. I found, much to my shock, that payouts made by other insurance companies can be considered when you apply for a private plan.
